Words Dept.

The personal weblog of Manchester journalist David Quinn

FAQ

What is Words Dept?

It’s the personal blog of David Quinn, a Manchester-based freelance journalist and filmmaker. It’s a blog containing entertaining words about anything I find interesting. It’s sometimes political but I don’t have any political allegiances.

Note: As of 16 July 2011 this blog is no longer being updated. Please visit my Posterous site instead.

You’re a journalist. So who do you write for?

I spent almost a decade writing for Estates Gazette, a commercial property magazine, which I left in August 2009. I’ve since been taking on freelance work as a business journalist specialising in property and regeneration. I also make documentaries and corporate videos. My first documentary, The Candidate, was nominated for a Royal Television Society North West Award in 2010.
