I agree with Roy Greenslade and don’t understand why he’s attracting so much ire. He’s hardly calling for the extinction of subs, he’s simply saying ‘This is how it is’.
The Grauniad’s problem is it’s so well-known for its mistakes it’s difficult to work out what’s the work of a mischievous sub and what’s simply a balls-up.
