Terrifying Sunday stroll
Sunday, 19 October 2008
I’ve just returned from Lyme Park, having witnessed a deer sprinting around the place like a maniac. It made me realise that I am scared of most animals. Also that I don’t really know anything about the behaviour of deer. Are they minded, especially the male ones with the big antlers, to be aggressive towards dog owners? What do you do if one starts galloping towards you? Any tips gratefully received.
Luckily no harm came to me and I managed to take a surprisingly good photo of the big house from my camera phone.
We also climbed up to The Cage, an old hunting lodge on top of a big hill, which affords a great view of the whole of the southern edge of Greater Manchester. It’s quite strange to see planes dipping below the the horizon as they queue up to land at the airport.
By the way, you may have noticed that this contains no whinges/observations about television, newspapers or David Cameron. I’m attempting to make the blog a bit more personal, which might turn out to be a disaster but we’ll see.

What did you think of the Peter Kay thing last week?
