I didn’t win. What a travesty.
Well, it’s fair enough I suppose, as Renter Girl, the victor in the Best New Blog category, is an entirely worthy winner.
I found the awards themselves slightly unusual. (Yes, I was actually there. We crept in, sat nervously at the back and left in time for the new Heroes episode on BBC3.) I’m not really a literary sort and I’ve never actually been anywhere where people get up on stage and read aloud their own creative writing. Nonetheless, it was fun. I especially enjoyed Chris Killen’s reading from his Day of Moustaches blog, which deservedly won in the Best Writing on a Blog category.
The other winners were Politaholic (Best Political Blog), Mancubist (Best Arts and Culture Blog) and Single Mother on the Verge (Best Personal Blog).

This will probably be my last comment as my new policy is only to spend time reading and commenting on award winning blogs.
